In tandem with design and development of the interactive exhibit “Why War: The Causes of Conflict”, Belle & Wissell produced environmental graphics for the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum’s exterior. Drawing inspiration from the motifs, patterns, and palettes of historic aircraft and machinery in the collection, the FHCAM environmental graphics engage visitors from the moment they see the museum. In collaboration with FHCAM, Belle & Wissell established an approach that would acknowledge the breadth of the museum’s offerings. The environmental graphics utilize every available panel on the entrance to the institution, granting guests a playful glimpse of the FHCAM collection.
